"You need to know what it's like to put a bullet in a body"
— The Gunsmith

The Gunsmith (Earl Malcolm Spellman) is a Fraternity member who trains other members on how to master a gun. He taught Wesley how to curve bullets and how to use a handgun with a different tactic.

Wanted (Film)[]

The Gunsmith was born in February 13, 1972. He with Fox and Sloan prepared Wesley in a firing combat as part of his training as an assassin. He assisted Fox and Sloan in every training session of Wesley. He taught Wesley on curving bullets, blind firing, and manual shooting.

Personality[]

The Gunsmith is a persuasive and intimidating person. Often threatening others when an order from Sloan was not followed. When Wesley was tasked to shoot the wings off the flies, he aimed his weapon at the back of Wesley's head, forcing him to do the task. When Wesley took his first firing session, The Gunsmith informed him that he needed to know what is was like to put a bullet in a body. Fox shot the carcass above Wesley's head for motivation. And The Gunsmith turned off the safety of his gun and showed him the right way to aim.

Death[]

The Gunsmith is one of the Fraternity members who were inside Sloan's office when Sloan handed each member their death order (this is the only place his real name is seen). Just as he was about to shoot Wesley, Fox curved a bullet in a circular motion, killing all of the guards in the office, including The Gunsmith, died. He was the first to be shot in the head

Trivia[]

  • Common, the actor portraying The Gunsmith, also voiced Brummel in Wanted: Weapons of Fate.
  • Unlike the other assassins, The Gunsmith is never actually seen training Wesley on screen in the movie but is present in all of his sessions. He is also the only assassin to not have a direct fight against Wesley in the final battle due to being shot in the head by Fox.
